Mark Wahlberg Is At It Again!
It sounds simple enough: Mark (top
) plays an ex-cop who is hired to get proof that the wife of New York City's mayor (Catherine Zeta-Jones, with Russell Crowe) is cheating. But believe me when I tell you there is nothing simple about the movie Broken City.
I see all of Mark's movies—nobody plays a better badass.

How Do I Love Tim McGraw?
Let me count the ways: I love that he's a country boy with a city sensibility. I love that he refuses to be pegged, and his duet with Nelly proves it. And I really love that he had the brains to marry Faith Hill. His album Two Lanes of Freedom
comes out this month, and I cannot wait!
I've Been a Cake Girl...
ever since I was traumatized by pie as a child. I stole one of those Hostess cherry pies, and I got caught. It would've been the perfect crime, but my mother noticed sticky red stuff on my face, and I broke down during the interrogation. Needless to say, I stayed away from pies after that. That is, until I tasted the lobster pot pie from the Kennebunk Inn
in Maine. The puff-pastry crust is featherlight, the filling is velvety, and you can order one for your own table at mainelobsterpotpie.com

"The cock may crow, but it's the hen that lays the egg."
Cosmopolitan editor in chief Joanna Coles shared this Margaret Thatcher quote at her recent Ladies Who (Power) Lunch. The prime minister makes an excellent point.
I'm a Sucker For a Song With Great Lyrics...
and with Valentine's Day just around the corner, I've got some love songs in heavy rotation on my iPod:
1. "So High
" by John Legend
If I ever get married again, this is the song I want played at my wedding—and I've already asked John to sing it.
2. "Someone Like You
" by Adele
It just goes to show that sometimes an amazing voice and a piano are really all you need.
3. "How Do You Keep the Music Playing?
" by James Ingram and Patti Austin
Show me someone who's never asked that question and I'll show you someone who's never been in a relationship.
4. "Wichita Lineman
" by Glen Campbell
"And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time...." I mean, does it get any better than that?
5. "Love on Top
" by Beyoncé
You can't beat a good ballad, but sometimes a girl just wants to get up and dance. This one is pure fun.
