![]() Spiritual transformation begins with shifting your physical perceptions of what's real. If you think what you see and hear is all that's real, you'll be dictated by the limits of your senses. Extend your perception beyond what your senses register…to what your heart knows to be true. Be willing to have your eyes opened to the love in any situation, even when with your physical eyes you cannot see it. That is the miracle beginning. Begin to shift your perception of what's real, with Lesson 1: Nothing I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything. Now look slowly around you, and practice applying this idea very specifically to whatever you see:
Each of the first three lessons should not be done more than twice a day each, preferably morning and evening. Nor should they be attempted for more than a minute or so, unless that entails a sense of hurry. A comfortable sense of leisure is essential. Quote of the Day "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." — Excerpted from A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles Your Thoughts What do you think about today's lesson?
