Crofton Waterfront on Vancouver Island
Very blessed to wake up to this sunrise. Grabbed my camera and ran out into the street in my housecoat and slippers. Saltspring Island was a flood of pink, and the water was shimmering with color. It was a rare morning—so glad I caught it.
Tulum is a Mayan settlement that flourished from 1200 A.D. until the arrival of the Spanish. Located just 120 kilometers south of the popular beach resort of Cancun, the Tulum ruins are the third-most-visited archaeological site.
This is the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen during all of my travels. Everything was golden. I was completely breathless. Every time I see this picture, I feel overwhelming peace and the realization that the universe is so much bigger than any of my problems...and that everything will be just fine.
The picture was taken at sunset while the air was still and the ocean a glass slate. I watched in awe of the serenity of a minuscule part of the universe, happy that I could experience a moment of deep inner peace.
The entire family rushed out of our summer cottage on Buffalo Lake to take in the view as clouds rolled in to create this dramatic sunset. A great reminder to take a breath and be grateful for the escape from busy city life.
On certain stormy, spring nights and cool, summer evenings, this monumental icon overlooking El Paso and Mexico hides in the shadows, while the colors of the sunset break through from behind and give us a small taste of the peace that was bestowed upon us so long ago.
