Oprah: Why did you all decide to wait three months? You know, because now some people come out immediately. I bet it is a big decision—how you're going to do it, how you're going to present her to the world or if you're not, if you're going to try to keep her from people.

Tom: Look, Kate and I didn't feel any need to do it. We said, "Why? It's our family." ... Then we heard all this stuff that was going on. And we said, "Okay, what do you want to do?" So then Kate said, "Okay, look...let's just do it. We'll just do this. This is ridiculous, and we'll just do it, and that'll be it.'"
