Spotlight on Barbara Walters

Two years later, Barbara says she and Star have made amends. "I can't stay angry with anybody for a very long time," she says. After some time had passed, Barbara says she and Star met for breakfast, but not to rehash the past. "I said, 'I want good things for you, and I want us to be able to see each other and walk into a room and not feel uncomfortable.'"

Barbara also says she was extremely saddened to hear the news that Star filed for divorce from her husband. "She went into the marriage with such hopes and romance, and I ached for her," she says. "It's a cliché to say I wish her well, but I really do," Barbara says. "We had nine wonderful years with Star, and you don't forget that."
