Decorating Ideas from Kim Depole
New York interior designer Kim Depole works wonders with her keen sense of color and organization. She's a whiz at cleaning up clutter and camouflaging eyesores. Look at these before-and-afters!
Kim turned this organizational nightmare into an attractive and stylish living space with storage units, brightly colored walls and stained, ready-made shelves (with a two-inch border to hide supports).
Those nightstands couldn't possibly hold anything else! Whip any cluttered bedroom into shape with a hidden bookcase headboard, found in Martha Stewart's Good Things for Organizing. Wall-mounted sconces and new storage-compatible nightstands also help minimize mess.
Simple tricks of the trade rescued this decorating emergency! Kim added color to the room, concealed the radiator with paint, and covered the air conditioning unit with Velcro-adhered ultra suede, which can be removed when the unit is in use.
