Snapshot of Life in Afghanistan The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) is a courageous group of women who are risking their lives to expose the atrocities that Afghani women face every day. When we told you that a donation of a camcorder or camera could help expose the violence they face, thousands of you sent your old video cameras. We received an e-mail from RAWA telling us they are grateful for what viewers like you have done. Fight Female Genital Mutilation When we first talked about Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) on the show, Sanctioned Violence Against Women, many viewers were outraged by this gruesome practice and logged onto Equality Now's web site.
