Tortured Children Follow-Up

What YOU can do to help children in need
Bob Greene advises, "If you know in your heart, if you sense something is wrong, don't go awayŚ You have to be as relentless as those children can't be. They have no voice at all."

If you think a child is being abused, you can help. YOU can be their voice.

Pediatrician Dr. David Norman makes these suggestions if you suspect child abuse:

Check the child for unusual bruises. Basically, places where little kids don't get bruises.
Check the child for marks that would indicate the use of objects.
Look to see if the child is abnormally isolated.
Take notice of changes in the child's behavior.
