The Oprah Winfrey Show
Tortured Children Follow-Up

"I am only one one, but I can still make a difference." — Helen Keller

OprahOur show last month on tortured children served as a catalyst for many of you to expose our worst nightmares. Many of you know a child who is a victim of child abuse. Many of you have tried to help this child. Many of you haven't seen positive results. You've either called your local department of children and family services, or the police, several times. Yet, the abuse continues. What to do then? Never give up. The children need you. Without your efforts, they may end up another tragic statistic. Oprah and Chicago Tribune reporter, Bob Greene, divulge more recent stories of child torture, and discuss solutions to crimes that are unthinkable.
