Oprah's Book Club Gap Creek
Our
book club selection this month is Gap Creek by Robert Morgan.
It's about a young bride named Julie who lives a hard life in 1900
Appalachia. It's a book about how the human spirit keeps marching
on, no matter how difficult life gets in the early 1900s.
In honor of Gap Creek, we're having an Appliance Appreciation
Day on the show. You can't read this book without appreciating how
hard life was.
