Conduct Your Own Search Online

Using any search engine (www.google.com, www.yahoo.com, etc.), type in the name of your state and "sex offender" in the search box. |

Among the search results will be "sex offender registries." Click on a result. Websites vary from state-to-state but sites like the one for Illinois allow you to search by name, city, country or zip code. Alaska's even gives you search tips to pinpoint a sex offender. |

Information posted online can vary by state, but some websites will include sex offender names, photographs, what they were convicted for, their address and a description. |
