![]() Photo: Patrik Andersson Q: How can I minimize the broken blood vessels around my nose?
A: You don't say that your complexion is fair, but I'm going to assume it is—because that, and sun damage, are probably why you can see the vessels through the skin. Usually two to three laser treatments with either the KTP, pulsed-dye, or diode laser will zap your veins, says Roy G. Geronemus, MD, clinical professor of dermatology at the New York University Medical Center. There is no downtime, and average cost is $300 to $500 per treatment. Keep in mind: The skin around the nostrils is more vulnerable to scarring than the rest of the face. As with any laser treatment, be sure to see an experienced doctor.
