Swimsuit season is here, and this year, O, The Oprah Magazine's team set out to find women whose suits needed an update. We traveled south to beach country with loads of tankinis, bikinis and maillots. Our mission: Help women realize the sleek thrill of the right suit.

For fashion editors at magazines based in the Northeast, where it's too cold in February to shoot swimwear, it's an annual ritual to go on location—a warm, sunny location. St. Thomas, one of the U.S. Virgin Islands, located about two hours south of Miami, was the destination of choice—the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, to be exact—for this month's "Swimsuit Intervention." This resort, located on the island's eastern tip, offers everything you'd need for a Caribbean idyll: white sand, turquoise water and endless piña coladas.
Built in 1996 and recently renovated, the hotel has 200 ocean-view rooms (each with a private terrace), including 28 one-bedroom suites. Outside, guests can get pampered with massages and facials in the 6,100-square-foot spa; try scuba diving, snorkeling, boating and tennis; or eat in one of four on-site restaurants.
