Before: Shlumpadinka City
Life (okay, it was bread and pasta) threw our columnist a few curves, causing her to retreat into a life of oversize schmattes. Enter Adam Glassman, a man with a sleek, chic, makeover plan.
She's Got the Look
Lisa was convinced she could never wear jeans until she tried on this slimming dark-wash denim (Evans, $36).
Top Bordeaux, $142. One-button blazer, Calvin Klein, $218. Bracelets, Avenue. Ankle boots, Lane Bryant.
Proper fit makes all the difference with the often intimidating jersey dress (Old Navy, $35).
Bangles, Lane Bryant. Tights, Wolford. Shoes, Söfft
The decorated neckline (Magaschoni, $475) draws attention away from a tummy and up to a beautiful face. Pinstriped pants (Magaschoni, $390) are always a lengthening look.
Bracelets, Lane Bryant. Boots, Payless.
Giddy With Success
Lisa didn't want to go sleeveless in the shift dress (Old Navy, $40), and she didn't have to. A cashmere cardigan (Marina Rinaldi, $435) keeps her chic and covered.
The Happy Ending
She tops the Old Navy dress with a tweed coat (Calvin Klein, $318) when it's chilly out. Patent leather pumps (Söfft) that fit her wide feet are a match made in makeover heaven.
Tights, Wolford. Bracelet, Lane Bryant. Necklace, Gerard Yosca.
