"Every night, after I slip under my cozy down comforter but before I grab my book (right now it's Ann Patchett's spellbinding State of Wonder, I squeeze a generous dollop of L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream in Date Bouquet into my palm. If my hands are really chapped, I mix it with a dot of the ultrarich body cream. Then I dab on a little bit of the lip balm. Why does this brief ritual feel so indulgent? Maybe it's the Date Bouquet scent, fresh and fruity but not cloying; or the high concentration of shea butter—fantastic relief for dry skin. In any case, it's a lovely coda to a crisp fall day."—Val Monroe
