Boy Meets Twirl

A flirty chartreuse dress gets a bit of menswear-inspired structure when topped with a printed short-sleeved blazer. "I love the combination of a chunky men's jacket over lighter fabrics," says King. "The softness and femininity of the dress and scarf let you layer without looking bulky."

Adam Says: This era ushered in sleeveless styles, so if you like your arms, show them off. Blazers and kimono-sleeve tops offer chic coverage if you need it.

Stylish Idea: Try vintage sporty looks, like this tennis-dress inspired style
