There was an episode of The Oprah Show on heroes that had a special needs cheer team on. My daughter also is on a team called Special Forces, and I thank all those helpers who work with these kids. There's a lot in life the kids are not able to do, and to be able to cheer is what they look forward to each week. When they are onstage, you forget that they have disabilities because their faces are bright and smiles are big. It is the greatest and happiest feeling in the world to see your child so happy. I just wanted to share that with you because it's often children with disabilities are overlooked. Why nothing can break the bond of family |
