According to Rabbi Shmuley, today's society is so focused on appearance, it's causing people to get caught up in obsessing and changing what they look like. Women especially are haunted by a society that tells them they are never good enough, he says.
Rabbi Shmuley says all plastic surgery must be kept in balance and warns of the dangers of becoming obsessed with it. A woman's beauty is enhanced by her personality, Rabbi Shmuley says, and the most attractive quality she can have is self-confidence and love for herself.
"Stop feeling so inadequate and start feeling special. Do not look at yourself through the prism of self-hatred. Look at yourself through the looking glass of self-acceptance."
