Who hasn't faced regret, sorrow and pain? These are human experiences, the sum of which adds color to our life's composition. Dr. Robin says that when the regret is so great, we have a tendency to want to repaint the canvas, using different, more vibrant colors. Dr. Robin talks about the importance of using all of the colors available to us and painting a new canvas, imperfections and all.
When things don't go right, "there is still usually some paint that is still in your can that has a lot of different colors, a lot of different hues, that you can use fine brushes to paint part of your story and maybe big thick ones to tell other parts of your story," Dr. Robin says.
