It took (almost) a village to create and shoot Oprah's stunning gown for this month's cover—on newsstands November 12. Santa's helper Oprah and her favorite elf, Jimmy Kimmel. "Jimmy definitely is one of my favorite things."
"It's va-va and voom," said Gayle King of the dramatic White by Vera Wang confection Oprah wore for the September 5 cover shoot in New York City. Designed by Wang and inspired by the fiery gown she created for Oprah for the 2005 Legends Ball, the organza-and-netting dress was perfect for the "fun, festive fantasy" cover dreamed up by O creative director Adam Glassman. "It's bey-yoo-tiful!" Oprah said before striking a pose to, appropriately enough, Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire."
