Robin Roberts said this while accepting the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPN's ESPYs last summer. The award is given each year to someone who reflects "strength in the face of adversity, courage in the face of peril and the willingness to stand up for their beliefs no matter what the cost." That's my friend Robin, and that's why I'm so glad she's back on the air, looking better than ever.

I love all things cake...
but I wouldn't ordinarily buy an entire coffee-table book on the subject. Then I saw Butterflies and All Things Sweet

Billy Crystal is bringing...

to Broadway through January 5. The play is a love letter to his father, Jack, who died when Billy was 15. It's also about baseball, and growing up, and the life he's built with Janice Goldfinger, his wife of 43 years. I saw Billy at a party celebrating his book Still Foolin' 'Em
, and he told me how much he was looking forward to returning to Broadway. I'm looking forward to cheering him on.
