Q: My best friend recently told me that I need to be true to myself. After thinking about it, I have no idea how to do that. I'm a happily married mother of two grown children and a grandmother to three grandchildren. I take time for myself, love my husband and family, but I have always felt like something was missing.

Dear Michelle,
Your friend is projecting on you. She wants for you what she wants for herself, or she thinks you should change your life because she wishes hers could change. I would ask her, "What exactly do you think I should be doing?" Then see if her suggestion applies better to her than to you. A candid chat should clarify things.
As for what's missing in your life, you present yourself as someone who is basically contented, so there's nothing urgent missing. However, in the background, your inner self realizes that a new stage of life is opening for you. There may be nothing missing at this moment, but soon you may feel that something is calling. It's the next stage in your growth. Pay attention inside, and you will discover new possibilities.
