Curiosity Beats Criticism
Being curious can help you in your relationships, Dr. Robin says. Instead of jumping to a quick criticism when you're in a bind, think to yourself, "How can I solve this problem?," "How can I address my partner so he understands?" or "What other ways can I resolve this argument?"
"We've become so accustomed to being analytical and pessimistic and we call that wisdom and we call that strength, we call it being strategic," Dr. Robin says. "But what I call it is losing out on the opportunity to live life to the fullest. You can't live your life—not a real, rich, full life—without being curious.
"Curiosity opens the door to opportunity and possibilities that have just been waiting to seize the moment."
