Glen had a vision for his sons as well. "My sons would be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. Which is the Boy Scout motto," he says. "And they turned out to be that way." Eric had always wanted to travel to Australia, Glen says, and in his junior year of college he was accepted into a program to study abroad there.
