Dream Job

Susan Michaels "What I found inside of me is strength, and definitely a renewed spirit in life."

Susan Michaels had it all — a great job, the respect of the community, and all the material trappings of success, but she didn't feel fulfilled. Then one day she heard the story of Pasado, a beloved donkey who suffered a horrible death at the hands of vandals. Pasado's story was the turning point for Susan, prompting her to leave behind her 15 years in the television industry and make animal welfare her career.

Susan and her husband sold everything but their bed and dresser to follow their dream. They founded Pasado's Safe Haven, a place where animals who have suffered or been hurt can come to live in peace and happiness. The business has been more than spiritually fulfilling for the couple — it has helped them grow together and strengthen their marriage as well.

What is Susan's advice to others who are seeking the career that will make them happy? You need to look at the priorities in your life and in your world to decide what's important to you. Only when you find what you feel passionate about will you be able to make it your life's calling.

Visit Pasado's Safe Haven Web site for more information.
