Michelle Christie began teaching hearing-impaired children five years ago and was heartbroken over the isolation of one of her students. She started bringing in hats and costumes and having him act out little skits. Her student came out of his shell and Michelle felt her spirit come alive. "It changed my life when I realized I could help these kids." Michelle created a performance group for hearing-impaired students; it's called No Limits. Parents are often amazed by the transformation their child makes under Michelle's guidance. Says one parent, "She gives every part of herself to everybody she meets. She's been an inspiration to my daughter, she's been an inspiration to me." Michelle is grateful and fulfilled by her experience working with her students. "It's allowed me to look at my life and realize I could give. And I get so much in return. It's cause and effect." "As much as I may inspire them, these kids inspire me.
