The Addict's Soul |
Question: When a person who was an addict during life dies from this addiction, what happens with the soul, how does it continue, and why wasn't the addiction healed before the soul departed the life of the individual?
Gary: A journey through the Earth School is a course that is chartered by you. Every student in the Earth School has inadequacies. The greatest of these inadequacies we call addictions. Healing your addictions is a sacred task. You ask me how a personality can die with some of its inadequacies unhealed. I suggest to you the obvious—because that personality did not choose to heal.
Birth into the Earth School is no guarantee of a healing experience. It provides opportunities to heal parts of the personality that require healing. Those are opportunities can be utilized or disregarded. The choice in your life belongs to you, opportunity by opportunity. The choice in the life of another belongs to him or her, opportunity by opportunity. Some individuals take advantage of the opportunities to change that are given to them, and they change. Others do not take advantage of those opportunities, and they do not change. In all cases, opportunities continue to appear. Leaving the Earth School is not the end of opportunities that souls are given to expand into ever-greater awareness and freedom.
