If you're still having sexual issues with your partner after your discussion, and you're able to sexually respond on your own, then you should be able to get that going in the bedroom with your partner, Dr. Berman says. If you can't, it's either because you're too inhibited to let him know the specific way you need to be touched or you're too shy and embarrassed to let yourself go with your partner. The other issue may be that your partner isn't really listening, she says.
Your partner can learn how to touch you; it's just that every woman likes things a little bit different, Dr. Berman says. "That's where communication becomes so important," she says. "It's really a learning process."
