If you feel there is a problem with your child's teacher, do not call the principal. Call the teacher first, giving him or her a chance to discuss the concerns.
If you need to talk to the teacher, send a note with your child. Do not show up at the classroom door unannounced.
Do not allow your child to be late or miss school for anything other than illness or a death in the family.
Realize that your child is one of many taught each day, and it is not always possible to address each and every need he or she may have.
Trust your child's teachers. They know what they're doing.
