Elizabeth Lesser
As the co-founder and senior adviser of Omega Institute, author Elizabeth Lesser studies and works with some of the most important spiritual leaders of our time. Elizabeth co-founded Omega Institute in 1977 on a 195-acre Rhinebeck, New York, campus with the hopes of sharing holistic studies and spiritual growth with a larger community. Today, Omega's workshops and conferences—which range from insight on mind-body healing to sustainable living—have grown, reaching more than 16,000 people a year.

A former midwife and mother of three grown sons, Elizabeth is also the author of Broken Open: How Difficult Times Can Help Us Grow and A Seeker's Guide: Making Your Life a Spiritual Adventure. She attended Barnard College and San Francisco State University and lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband.
