Audience reservations for
The Oprah Winfrey Show are available almost exclusively by phone. Demand far exceeds supply, so you may receive a lot of busy signals before getting through to one of our audience department employees. Periodically, you may be able to request last-minute reservations via e-mail.

Taping Schedule and Age Requirements
The Oprah Winfrey Show taping schedule varies from week to week. There are no weekend tapings. A more specific list of available dates will be given to you by the audience department when you call.
The show season goes from August to November and from January to May.

Common Questions
Should I bring my ID to the studio?
Yes, you must have a valid photo ID to enter the studio.
How many seats can I reserve? You may reserve up to four seats for any one taping. Group tickets are not available.
How can I change a guest's name on my reservation? There are two ways to change names on your reservation:
1. If only one name in your party is changing, you can change it at Harpo Studios on the day of your taping (provided the replacement person adheres to all requirements).
2. If you want to change more than one name on your reservation, you must call prior to the date of taping and speak with someone from the audience department. Please call 312.633.1000.
What if I make the reservation and can't attend? Once you make a reservation you are the "Lead" of that reservation. We do not accept name changes, transfers or switches to "Lead" names. If, unfortunately, you cannot make it to the show, your guests will not be able to attend without you.
How long will the taping last? Generally, the morning taping ends around 11 a.m. and the afternoon taping ends around 3 p.m. These times are subject to change. You may want to eat something beforehand, as there is no food service available inside the studio.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible? What if I have special needs? Harpo Studios is wheelchair accessible. If you have special needs, please inform a staff member upon arrival, and we will be happy to assist you.
How often can I attend a taping? We ask that you attend
The Oprah Winfrey Show no more than once a season (i.e., August 2007 to June 2009), unless asked by a member of our production staff.
How do I request a specific topic? You cannot request a show by its topic.
Are walk-up audience members allowed? No.
Are standbys allowed in the show? Only confirmed standbys are accepted. You can try to obtain last-minute standby reservations through your hotel concierge. These can only be obtained through a participating concierge the day before the taping.

What You Need to Know
Harpo Studios is located at 1058 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL. - Harpo Studios is located in the near west side of Chicago, 10 minutes west of the Loop. We are just west of I-90/94 and north of I-290.
- Entrance: The audience will enter at 1058 W. Washington St. at the corner of Carpenter and Washington streets.
- Parking: Street parking and commercial lots are within a short distance of the entrance.

Arrival times (subject to change)
Morning taping: Between 7 and 7:30 a.m.
Afternoon taping: Between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
Dress code Please avoid beige or white clothing if possible—it can be too reflective for the lights in the studio.
Cameras/recorders No cameras, recorders, cell phones, pagers, etc. will be allowed in the studio. If you bring these or any similar items, we will check them and return them to you upon leaving the studio.
Security check Everyone attending the show must go through a security check before gaining access to the studio. Please downsize any purses or bags you are bringing with you.
Please keep in mind that you are responsible for the actions of the people in your party. All guests in your party must be known to you.
Personal identification Please bring at least one valid photo ID. You will not be allowed to enter the studio without a valid photo ID.
No gifts/luggage check No gifts, cards, letters, etc. will be accepted at audience check-in. Baggage-check facilities are not available.

Cancellation Policy
Please be aware, reservations are not guaranteed. Shows can cancel or change at any time. If your show should cancel or require a specialized audience, we will notify you as soon as possible and do our best to reschedule you for another taping without too much inconvenience. If you are visiting from out of town, it may not always be possible to reschedule you into another taping during your visit.
The Oprah Winfrey Show does not reimburse travel expenses due to show cancellations.
