Considered a thought leader in her field, Dr. Berman has appeared in numerous national media outlets and is a weekly contributor to the Today Show, NBC 5 Chicago and WBBM-FM (B96) in Chicago. She has also appeared on Fox News and CNN and in The New York Times, USA Today and every major woman's magazine.
Dr. Berman is a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, starred in the Showtime television series Sexual Healing and writes the "Art of Intimacy" health expert blog on Yahoo.com
She also authored the New York Times best-selling book For Women Only: A Revolutionary Guide to Overcoming Sexual Dysfunction and Reclaiming Your Sex Life as well as Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman: 10 Keys to Unlocking Ultimate Pleasure and The Passion Prescription.
After obtaining a master's in clinical social work and a doctorate in health education specializing in human sexuality from New York University, she went on to complete a training fellowship in sexual therapy with the Department of Psychiatry at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Berman is also a member of the American Association of Sex Educators Counselors and Therapists, Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, National Association of Social Workers, International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health and American Urological Society (AUA).
She has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including Israel Cancer Research Fund's Women of Action Award, the National Association of Women Business Owners Rising Star of the Year Award, the Los Angeles Business Journal's Women Who Make a Difference Award, the Illinois State Treasurer Award for Women Making a Difference and the Dressed for Success Award of Women Making History.
