Doug Levy Named Vice President of Operations for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network

LOS ANGELES — Doug Levy has been named vice president of operations for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, effective immediately. In this role, Levy is responsible for the coordination, support and execution of all in-house operational processes related to the channel launch and ongoing operations of OWN. Levy will also oversee information technology and facilities.

"Doug is the point person for all of OWN's transmission," says Brent Willman, chief financial officer, to whom he will report. "His experience is a great fit toward building a solid infrastructure at OWN as we create this multiplatform venture."

Levy joins OWN from Fox Sports Net, where he was vice president of production and operations since 2005, winning four Emmys for his work on such shows as Sports Science and Mansion Poker Pokerdome Challenge. He began at FSN as a coordinating producer, then went on to become the director before assuming the role of vice president. Prior to FSN, Levy started his long-standing career in post production as post production supervisor at Carsey-Werner, working on such productions as That 70's Show, Grace Under Fire and Cosby.

Levy earned his bachelor of arts degree in sociology at the University of Southern California with an emphasis in film and television. He is also a member of the Producers Guild of America.
