NEW YORK, NY — Executive producer Terry Murphy continues to build up her team by adding Peter Killeen and upping Robin Hommel to serve as co-executive producers of the syndicated series The Nate Berkus Show from Harpo Studios and Sony Pictures Television. "Peter and Robin are passionate about giving viewers the tools to help them love the lives they live," Murphy said. "And I'm thrilled about having the combined force of veterans like Peter and Robin working together as we continue to build what we believe is the next generation of talk."
Peter Killeen most recently served as a senior supervising producer on The Martha Stewart Show and was instrumental in creating and producing all areas of this high content, how-to show, resulting in a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Program for the 2009–2010 season. Killeen started as a writer on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, where he received three Daytime Emmy nominations. He later transitioned to the role of a producer, where he was part of the team that earned Daytime Emmy wins for Outstanding Talk Show in 2000 and 2001. Killeen was also a writer for the 1999 and 2000 Grammy Awards and the 1999 Tony Awards.
Prior to her promotion, two-time Emmy winner Robin Hommel has served as senior supervising producer on The Nate Berkus Show. She worked as a senior producer for the launch of Rachael Ray in the fall of 2006. During her four-year tenure there, Hommel won two Daytime Emmys for episodes she developed and produced: "The Prom for Enterprise High" and "The Brides of Harris County." Her previous producer credits include Martha, The Jane Pauley Show and Queen Latifah. Hommel started her syndication career at The Montel Williams Show as a production assistant, and over the course of eight years, rose to senior producer. She has also contributed to series on the Discovery Channel, Fox News and NBC. Hommel is a recipient of multiple Prism Awards and a Genesis Award and is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
