Why Harry Hamlin Threatened to Divorce Lisa Rinna

Actress, TV host and reality star Lisa Rinna may be best known for her roles on Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, but most recently, she's been stirring up trouble on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Originally, Lisa says she met with the Real Housewives producers to discuss another show, but she came out of the meeting with an offer to join Season 5 of this hit series.

Lisa says she never thought her husband of 18 years, actor Harry Hamlin, would go for it. "I went to him, and I said, 'Okay, they're interested in me doing this show, the Housewives.' [He said,] 'Nope! I'll divorce you. If you do it, I'll divorce you,'" Lisa recalls. "I said, 'Okay, done. Done. No more conversation.'"

A few days later, Harry had a change of heart. "Harry, being a really, really smart business man himself, said, 'It's a good thing. It'll work for you. You should do it.' So I did it," she says. "I'm an entrepreneur at heart, and to make all my other businesses run, and do everything I want to do, I have to be on TV."
