The Secret to 93-Year-Old Betty White's Eternal Youth

For more than seven decades, comedy legend Betty White has been making audiences smile. From The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Hot in Cleveland, this 93-year-old entertainer tells Oprah she never takes her good health for granted. "I think it's my gene pool," she says. "I can give my mom and dad the thanks for that."

Betty, whom Oprah calls a "national treasure," also stresses the importance of her daily exercise routine. "I have a two-story house and a very bad memory, so I'm up and down those stairs all the time," she says.

Unlike many young women trying to make it in Hollywood, Betty never lied about her age. "My mother always said, 'Don't lie about your age. You'll forget and you'll slip up, and then you'll look ridiculous,'" she says.
