David finally succumbs to Maggie's charms and cheats on his wife, Veronica—who is also no stranger to extramarital affairs. After satisfying their lust, however, the pillow talk between Maggie and David takes a turn for the worse when Veronica's name comes up. Angry that David is still forgiving of his deceitful wife after all her reprehensible behavior, Maggie brings up the photo of Veronica and her much-younger lover in flagrante delicto.
Maggie nearly incriminates herself by pointing out that Veronica was in David's own truck at the time the picture was taken, leaving David wondering how Maggie could come up with so many details from this one blurry, close-up image.
"Maggie, what do you know?" David says, becoming more and more agitated.
Maggie repeatedly denies any wrongdoing, professing that she did not have the picture taken, but David finds her less than convincing.
"If you are lying to me and you did this, I swear to you I will never speak to you again," he says.
