Every week, I'll pick my "Why Didn't I Think of That" project or element - the one element from that episode that I thought was most thoughtful or well executed. Effective, inexpensive and - most importantly - simple to recreate. Oprah would probably call it an "Aha! Project," but she's not looking, so I'm gonna call it,

MVP! (Most Valuable Project)

This week, hands down, the MVP goes to the cornbread fixins' party favors. Roselind really tapped into what the Denson family was all about, and their commitment to gracious southern hosting was where she focused a lot of her efforts. These little hostess gifts were made up of humble materials: brown paper bags and a few ingredients. But the idea was to send folks home with a future semi homemade dish, which was a great way to represent the family's hospitable nature. So simple! So effective! So personal!
