Intention: Sometimes the thought of "making change" can be overwhelming: Do I have time? I don't want to do it alone. Why don't I start next year? But here's the thing: Now is the time to change your mind and your perception. As you'll see in I Am, historian Howard Zinn says, "Change happens from millions of tiny acts." Assignment: Perform one random act of kindness. Tell us what you did and inspire someone else to follow your lead. Examples: Get creative: Buy a few newspapers and hand them out to your fellow subway riders. Leave a cheerful plant anonymously on a colleague's desk. Surprise your children with notes in their lunch boxes. Buy an extra cup of coffee and give it to the police officer outside. Watch I Am on "Super Soul Sunday" January 1 at 8 a.m. and noon ET/PT.
