Jack's spiritual explorations have taken him around the world. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1967, he joined the Peace Corps and was sent to northeastern Thailand, where he eventually sought training as a Buddhist monk. After leading a monastic life for five years, Jack chose to return to the United States, eager to share what he had learned and to integrate the ancient teachings of Buddhism into the modern world.
