Tracy Jones is a hard-charging Patrol Sergeant in South/Southeast Dallas. Her reputation is stellar, and she's known for conducting business in a tough, no-nonsense manner. As a supervisor, she's responsible for keeping dozens of male officers in line in a dangerous part of Dallas. A cop for 17 years, Tracy is confident and opinionated on the streets. As a Sergeant, Tracy puts up with no B.S. And, she has the ability to answer any call and take over on every scene during her shift. She still chooses to patrol rather than stay at her desk and push paper.

At home, Tracy is a devoted single mom to her 17 year-old daughter, Kaylon. Kaylon is a straight-A student and drill team captain and is her mom's pride and joy. While Tracy chooses a stern disciplinary style, she and Kaylon also have a close, playful relationship. Often mistaken for sisters, Kaylon is Tracy's "mini-me" and the true light of her life. Dating does play a small role in Tracy's life, but she sees no need to settle down with a man after taking care of herself and Kaylon all these years. This is Kaylon's last year at home before she heads off to college so Tracy is cherishing every moment with her daughter.
