Deleted Scenes: Delaware Training 5 Percent of Population in Sex Abuse Prevention
After locking up one of the worst pedophiles in its history, the state of Delaware decided to do something big about the silent epidemic plaguing their homes, schools and communities: to train five percent of its population how to prevent child sexual abuse. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), one in six boys and one in four girls are sexually abused by the time they are 18 years old.
Watch this clip to find out how the YMCA of Delaware is taking the statewide initiative one step further and training its entire staff.
