With less than an hour to taping, Jenna meets with the president in his greenroom. "I was nervous and I think it showed and I don't ever like that to happen," she says. "But it's hard not to do when you're standing next to a former president of the United States."

Oprah also pays a visit to the president before the show. "As an interviewer—really, as the person who this is my home—you're stepping into that chair with me," she says. "It's my job to make you feel as comfortable as possible."
