Senior Field Producer / The Oprah Winfrey Show
As a senior field producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show, David travels around the world capturing footage to help bring the stories featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show to life. In addition to traveling, David works closely with Harpo's Production Management and Travel Departments coordinating logistics and scheduling needs for teams of camera and sound operators, as well as producers, who shoot the tape segments that are seen on The Oprah Show.
After graduating from the University of Texas in 1997, David began his career in television at NBC News where he was based in the network's Chicago Bureau working on the evening newsmagazine, Dateline. After four years with NBC, David left the network to pursue a freelance career under his moniker, Rabbit Productions, where he wrote and directed documentaries, one of which was recognized with a Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award. David joined The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2002.
David and his wife, Lindsay, live in Chicago where he enjoys photography, cartooning and listening to live music.
