Miracle Detectives
About the Show
FROM THE SHOW
Do miracles really exist? Or is there a logical explanation to the seemingly inexplicable? Two investigators; one a believer, the other a scientist will travel the globe to uncover answers to mysterious incidents that transcend logic in Miracle Detectives, a new one hour documentary series for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
Randall Sullivan is an author and journalist who, while travelling as a war correspondent in Bosnia, saw an inexplicable vision during a violent thunder and lightning storm. He is convinced it was a miracle. Now he travels the globe investigating other miracles, along with Indre Viskontas, a gifted scientist with a Ph.D. in neuroscience, who approaches the supernatural with a skeptical point of view. In season one, the Miracle Detectives travel throughout the United States investigating such bizarre cases as a man who claims to have x-ray vision and the ability to diagnose illnesses, a young boy whose parents believe is the reincarnated soul of a World War II pilot, and a suburban home where mysterious oil inexplicably oozes from walls and religious statues. Randall and Indre visit the sites of each incident to hear first-hand accounts of these incredible stories. Then, after interviewing numerous experts and conducting experiments, they gather the critical information they need to try and answer the ultimate question: is it a miracle?
