Yolanda's Blog: Epiosde 4

Thanks so much for your support of Married to the Army: Alaska. It is such an honor to tell our stories. It was really hard to relive some of the scenes from this episode. I remember the feeling in my heart when I saw my husband get off the plane. He was weeping as he emerged from the door...

My dad always says he is a cream puff. I love seeing that emotion in him although he is a mighty warrior. I remember thinking, "He needs me!" As we talked during the days leading to his R&R (rest and relaxation), I could hear the fatigue and exhaustion in his voice.

He mentioned that he wanted to do a picnic. So I bought the picnic basket. It was complete with dishes and linen napkins. The picnic was so romantic. I really like the sparkling cider toast to PEACE.

Memorials are always hard. My husband takes them really hard because he is such a compassionate man. I was so grateful to have our pastor, Daniel Bracken of King's Chapel in Wasilla, to pray for him. That really made a difference. Our prayers are continuously with the loved ones of the fallen. We are so grateful for your sacrifices.
