Blair was born in 1977 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Growing up, she participated in sports such as soccer and swimming. She also danced until high school and was captain of the cheerleading squad at E. C. Glass High School in Lynchburg. In 2001, she graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After college she held several positions within the Hospitality Industry.
Blair met her husband, Brian through his sister in 2009. After dating for 17 months, Brian proposed on St. Patrick's Day after his third deployment to Iraq. In August of 2010, they wed in Blair's hometown in Lynchburg, Virginia in the church she was raised in – First Presbyterian Church.
Staff Sergeant Brian's Army career has taken them to many places. They lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina – home of the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg – where Brian was stationed for a total of five years. Shortly after their wedding, they found out they were expecting. Moments after receiving this happy news, they were notified that their new orders would take them to the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry at Fort Richardson, Alaska. They moved to Anchorage, Alaska in June 2011. Their first son Colin was born in August, and Brian deployed three months later, on his fourth tour to Afghanistan with the 4-25.
When she is not changing diapers, making baby food, and running the household, Blair enjoys a big glass of red wine while gourmet cooking. Gardening, interior decorating and reading are some of the hobbies that she takes pleasure in.
Blair is grateful for the relationships that have been built while working on the show. Her belief is that in participating in this reality series that focuses on being a military wife, she has been able to represent the Army, her husband and the rewards and challenges both of those bring.
