It is a shocking day on the base when the wives are faced with a communications blackout, and have to go for days without talking to their husbands. They soon find out that the blackout is the result of the brigades' first K.I.A. (Killed in Action). After the fallen troops' memorial service, the wives gather at Yolanda's home to provide each other with support and comfort after they're forced to face the gravest of realities of being an Army wife.
