Lovetown, USA
Meet the Matchmakers: Kailen RosenbergPosted: Mon 07/16/2012 03:30 PM
Age: 45 Hometown: Minnetonka and Manhattan Beach, Minnesota, in addition to various yogi camps and hippie communes. (Raised by grandparents and mom who was a free-spirited hippie.) First Date: Seventh grade, roller skating at the roller rink during "Snowball," holding hands and being nervous about my first kiss (smooch)! Best Date: With my now husband! While first dating, hiking in nature during the change of the fall leaves, on a brisk and cool afternoon, with the sun shining down, followed by hot chocolate at a beautiful restaurant while we stared into each others eyes knowing we'd be married someday. Worst Date: With a guy who spoke/bragged nonstop about himself for over three hours then proceeded to tell me how great of a kisser he was...and that he would be kissing me soon so I could experience it for myself. He didn't get that kiss, and I was out of there faster than the speed of lightening. Most Romantic Thing I've Ever Done: On one of his birthdays, I wrote a poem and a song to my husband and framed it, along with making his favorite breakfast in bed, filling the bedroom with balloons, and sending him as a surprise off for flying lessons at our local private airport. From there he and I suited up and got into a real flight simulator and had a "Flying Aces" Dogfight. He always wanted to fly a plane! Three Songs on Your "Lovetown" Playlist: "My Love Is Your Love" by Whitney Houston; "Love Is Alive" by Gary Wright; "Shower The People" by James Taylor...and can't forget "Reach Out And Touch" by Diana Ross! Worst Pick-Up Line I've Ever Heard: "Is that a mirror in your pocket? 'Cuz I can see myself in your pants." (Night at the Roxbury), or "I would approach you, but I know you'd say no anyway..." Favorite Romantic Comedy: Spanglish and Finding Nemo (actually, there are so many!) Best Love Advice I Ever Received: "Listen with your heart, always seek to understand, be slow to react, and do so wisely."
