I’m back with the latest! Last week was interesting. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Mardi Gras parade due to the extensive chemotherapy I received.  It made me very sick, and I was a little bummed that I missed the festivities. I was hoping to add to my bead collection!

When the team wanted to film me receiving chemo, I was apprehensive at first. I am normally very public about my health condition, but I wasn’t sure how kosher filming my doctors would be. Turns out, it wasn’t a problem and my medical professionals had fun with it. I felt good because it was a small glimpse into a part of my life...a life that I have been living for four and half years. Since I missed the Mardi Gras event, I felt out of the loop. I wanted to get caught up and see how this was going to go.
I went to Lovetown Headquarters for a discussion with Kailen and Paul about my dating situation. I was a bit worried because I knew dating would not be a super great idea anymore because my treatment was harder than I anticipated. Turns out, they were thinking the same thing. To my relief, they had other plans. I really wanted to remain involved, and they gave me a great opportunity. My biggest passion is helping people, and they knew that. I am so honored and blessed that Kailen and Paul invited me to work alongside them to further engage the community and spread love.
